A Message from the Superintendent

Mount Prospect School District 57 has served the citizens of the village of Mount Prospect since 1896. In the 112 years since William Busse opened the doors of the District’s first school, tens of thousands of families and students have attended the District’s schools. These alumni have moved on to success in careers and lives that now blanket the globe.

This “Tradition of Excellence”, our motto, is continued today by the four schools that house District 57 students. Approximately 2,100 students are currently enrolled in Pre-K through eighth grade programs at Westbrook, Fairview, Lincoln and Lions Park Schools. Our mission is to ensure that these students achieve their full potential, so that they will become contributing citizens of our global economy. Rising test scores, well-maintained buildings, and, most importantly, dedicated, well-trained teachers continue to draw families and students to a growing District 57.

We welcome you and wish that you will take an active role in our Alumni Association. Please take the time to interact with the District 57 Alumni Association to strengthen the web of relationships which binds us to the Mount Prospect community. Read on to find out more about the past, present, and future of District 57. Again, welcome, and we look forward to meeting you at a future Alumni Association event.
